Our Introduction to the Basics of Clinical Trials for Schools & Colleges sets clinical trials within the context of developing new drugs or medical devices. Students also understand the need for and importance of good design in obtaining accurate and meaningful results. Our Clinical Trial Experience workshops for schools & colleges also provide students with the opportunity to run their own their own mini clinical trial.

Introduction to the Basics of Pain & Nervous Transmission This easy-to-understand, practical, highly interactive training for students in Year 9 and above, consolidates science learning on nervous transmission, putting together the pieces so that students understand the bigger picture of how everything fits together. Using pain as a model, students understand how nerves work and communicate, the importance of reflex arcs and the different ways in which pain-relief drugs work and why drugs are sometimes ineffective. As part of our commitment to others, we sell a range of fairly traded products sourced from Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Guatemala, Chile, Columbia, El Salvador and India. Our supplier was one of the first to establish fair trading principles, setting-up links with Latin America in 1978.

We supply a wide range of beautiful jewellery in silver, recycled Amazonian materials, tagua (vegetable ivory) and dichroic glass; hand-made using ancient and modern techniques. we also supply recycled tin wall hangings, hand woven hats, bags,  gloves, scarves and accessories.
